What data we handle and why

Contact form. The name, e-mail, phone, subject and message you send us are used to reply to your request. Mandatory fields are required, otherwise we cannot reply fully and correctly. The data is handled by our staff in our electronic and/or paper archives and deleted at the end of the season to which your enquiry relates, unless the relationship between the parties changes.

Orders. To manage an order we handle the data you enter at checkout (name, shipping and billing address, e-mail, phone) to fulfil and deliver the order and to meet tax and accounting obligations. The data needed for delivery is shared with the courier (DHL); payment data is handled by the payment provider you choose (for example PayPal) and is not stored by us.

Your rights

You can exercise the rights granted by data protection law (article 7 of Legislative Decree 196/2003 and articles 15–22 of EU Regulation 2016/679): access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection. Write to info@sandalitipici.it.

The products

Our sandals are made entirely by hand in our workshop in Maiori, on the Amalfi Coast, with Italian leather and Italian costume-jewellery applications. They are hand-stitched and have a leather-core heel with a non-slip rubber cover.

Care. To keep them at their best, clean them with a soft cloth dampened with water, let them dry well in the shade and keep them away from light, heat and humidity. We advise against detergents or soap.

Choosing your size

In the “Sizes” section of the site you will find conversion tables and PDF charts to download and print, so you can compare them with your foot and choose the exact size.

Prices and taxes

VAT and any additional taxes are included in the price of all products on the site. For European Union countries we ship with DHL on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) basis. For countries outside the EU the courier may charge local duties and taxes separately: please check them before ordering.

Payment

For online orders we use PayPal, which lets you pay with the main credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Visa Electron and others). Card data is processed only by the payment network: we have no access to it and only hold the information needed (first name, last name, address) to send your products.

Shipping and delivery

We ship with the courier DHL, Monday to Friday, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. We normally take 10 working days from receiving the order to ship the sandals. After shipping you receive an e-mail with a code to follow every stage of delivery. The sandals travel at our risk until delivery.

Delivery times after shipping: in Italy 1 working day (2 for Calabria, Sicily, Sardinia, Basilicata and the smaller islands); in EU countries 1–3 days, except remote areas. For non-EU shipments of items subject to a CITES certificate (exotic skins such as python and crocodile) allow 1–2 weeks more and a 30 euro surcharge required by the CITES certificate and local forestry authorities. Deliveries are made at the latest within 30 days from the conclusion of the contract, or by a different deadline agreed with the customer, except in cases of force majeure or unforeseeable circumstances.

Pick-up at the workshop

You can pick up your order at our workshop, Via Lungomare Amendola 38-39, 84010 Maiori (SA). Winter hours: Monday to Saturday, 10:00–13:30 and 16:30–20:30. Summer hours: Monday to Sunday, 09:45–13:40 and 16:00–22:45. To collect at other times, please call us.

Damage and lost parcels

Inspect the goods immediately on delivery, before the courier leaves. If you notice visible damage or missing items, refuse the parcel and contact us right away, in any case within 3 working days of receipt. If the sandals arrive damaged they will be replaced at our expense. In case of damage or non-delivery the courier carries out an investigation; claims are usually settled within 2 weeks of being opened.

Cancellation, returns and replacements

Cancellation. An order cannot be cancelled: every sandal is made to measure and the materials cannot be reused. Given the many combinations of colour, materials and heel, once made it is hard to resell.

Returns. If model, colour, size and measurement match those in the order, the sandals cannot be returned. If we made a mistake in colour, model, size or measurement, we will replace the product at our expense.

Wrong size. If the size does not match the one in the order, the sandals are replaced at our expense. If the size sent is correct but the sandals turn out too big or too small, we can replace them as long as the recipient pays the shipping costs.
